Now that all the properties on the estate have been built and no vacant erven remain, the HOA trustees have been working hard to ensure that the properties in Oakwood are, and remain compliant in accordance with the Design Manual and Environmental Guidelines.
We have decided that it would be best to have an independent professional ensuring that properties adhere to the estate guidelines, the rationale being that the trustees do not necessarily have architectural experience, and to create consistency as the trustees rotate office.
As a result, we have negotiated a rate with Frankenfeld & King Architects (the Estate Architects) to handle building plan scrutiny and to do on-site inspections to verify compliance, before the HOA will provide the “Consent to Transfer”. A similar process will be put in place regarding building renovations, and we’ll communicate that as soon as it is finalised.
